The thing that helps the public in purchasing something that has so many options, such as a car, is price. That said, a lot of people have jumped on the band-wagon of wanting to reduce their carbon footprint. For some time now we have only seen a few cars that come in a hybrid or electric version. The Chevy Volt has just been added to that list. Some consumers have seen the car, wondering if it would ever show up on the streets that we drive, and never thought about it again. Until now. GM will claim back some ground with the impressive Chevy Cruze
As production and distribution of the Chevy Cobalt comes to a halt, the new 2011 Chevrolet Cruze moves into the spotlight. The Cruze is the all-new front-drive, five-passenger compact sedan that is somewhere between the Aveo and the Malibu, but definitely more car than the Cobalt has been during its run in that spot in the lineup. Chevy’s concept communter car has some potential
The EN-V concept by GM is a car with a major touch of the “future” added to it! You see a picture of one and think, could I really picture this cruising down a busy urban street? Not sure, maybe someday?
The EN-V, which stands for Electric Networked-Vehicle, was developed as a result of a partnership with Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp., which is based in China. The concept displays 3 different, but very cool looking designs: Jiao (Pride), Miao (Magic) and Xiao (Laugh). Perhaps one will be available for a test drive at your Kansas City used car dealer one day?!?
Recently patented Chevrolet drawings may give sedans a new look
The official drawings of an unnamed Chevrolet sedan were filed with the U.S. patent office by General Motors. Taking a look at the drawings, it appears the mystery Chevrolet four-door saloon with the Camaro-inspired rear-end design is either a mid- or full-size sedan. It is known that General Motors is readying a redesign for its Camry-fighting Chevrolet Malibu, but it appears this is depicting a whole different vehicle – one that gives the sedan a new look. There is some speculation that the design could be a replacement for the Impala or for the European market and Daewoo-based Chevy Epica sedan. Stay tuned as we learn more, and in the meantime, be sure to check out your Kansas City used Chevrolet dealer for current and used Chevrolet models. Continue Reading…
GM expects Chevy Cruze to cruise off lots
If GM’s prediction about the new Chevy Cruze becomes reality, this auto will be driving off the lot of your Kansas City used Chevrolet dealer pretty quickly. GM is so confident about this that they have added a third production shift at the plant in Lordstown, Ohio where the Cruze is being manufactured. I am sure those getting jobs back after shifts being cut there are very happy and hope this new sedan does well!
Not only will the Chevrolet Cruze become available in the US later this year, it’s also being sold in other countries as well. For example, it’s been on sale in Korea since late 2008 under the name “Daewoo Lacetti Premier” and in Oceania as the Holden Cruze. Basically, GM has planned this car from a global thinking standpoint and hope sales will be good all over the globe.
What does this car have to offer? One of the top car facts is that the gas mileage is phenomenal. The ECO trim is said to get about 40 mpg on highway driving. That fact alone could get me to my Kansas City used car dealer later this year to check it out! The LT and LTZ models’ mpg for highway driving has not been officially stated, but expect it to be good too.
On the exterior front (no pun intended), the Cruze isn’t extremely flashy, but it is a nice looking car. Compared to some other similar models, the Cruze has a sporty look to it. You’ll notice some attractive angles and creases on the body. I also like the front bumper: the grille and angled headlights give it aool c look. When this sedan arrives at your Kansas City used Chevrolet dealer it’ll definitely catch the eyes of those looking for something new!
The past few years have been pretty touch and go for most auto companies, including GM. As they move towards a new era, they hope their decision to create a sedan on the global scale will really pay off!
